Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to join a fast‑paced, multi‑entity organisation operating across South Africa and broader African markets. The role will own financial reporting, treasury, controls and operational finance, directly supporting strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and ensure accurate trial balances.
• Oversee cash management, payroll, creditors, debtors, fixed assets and revenue accounting.
• Run treasury operations, monitor liquidity and handle short‑term cash flow.
• Prepare financial reporting, KPI analysis and board reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting policies and internal controls.
• Review intercompany transactions, perform consolidations and variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and coordinate audit deliverables.
• Maintain statutory, tax and regulatory compliance and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
• Minimum 3 years post‑articles experience in a similar role.
• 3‑5 years of team management experience.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial controls in multi‑entity environments.
