About the role

Gulf Associates is seeking a part‑time Editorial Quality Assurance Specialist to review AI‑assisted drafts and internal briefing documents for its Gulf‑region clients. The role is fully remote and open to candidates residing in South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Review draft materials against original source data to ensure factual accuracy and clarity.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to verify commercial claims and joint‑venture structures.
• Identify unsupported, unclear, or inaccurate statements before reports reach partner review.
• Apply detailed review guidelines to maintain a consistent professional tone across documents.
• Document recurring issues in the shared workspace to improve drafting standards.
• Escalate contradictory evidence or unclear data points during weekly QA passes.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proofreading, editorial QA, or business documentation experience in professional services.
• Resident of South Africa with a high standard of written English.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot logical inconsistencies in complex commercial drafts.
