Digital & Lighting Assistant

About the role

Flash Photo is seeking a proactive Digital & Lighting Assistant to support its gear rental operations for filmmakers, photographers and content creators. This hands‑on position involves preparing equipment, assisting clients and ensuring technical standards are met in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and set up lighting and digital gear for client projects.
• Handle quoting, invoicing and client liaison with strong administrative accuracy.
• Advise clients on equipment selection and assist with on‑site setup.
• Maintain, test and manage gear to ensure high‑quality performance.
• Provide technical support for lighting and camera systems during productions.

Required profile

• Based in Cape Town with industry experience in film, photography or production.
• Hands‑on knowledge of lighting and digital gear.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a team‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s licence.
