Developer Level 3

About the role

We are looking for a Developer Level 3 to design, build and maintain high‑performing, enterprise‑grade applications for a leading African bank. You will work in an agile environment, applying critical and design thinking to solve complex front‑end, back‑end and integration challenges while mentoring peers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable software solutions following test‑driven and domain‑driven design principles.
• Create, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Implement observability using ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Zipkin or Jaeger.
• Automate deployment and infrastructure tasks with Docker, Ansible and Kubernetes.
• Conduct code reviews, performance monitoring and ongoing optimisation of applications.
• Collaborate with guilds and technical SMEs to evolve products and services.
• Ensure compliance with group architecture, security and infrastructure guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Experience working in agile teams and delivering end‑to‑end software projects.
• Proficiency in designing solutions that are repeatable, testable, scalable and resilient.
• Ability to mentor and share knowledge with other developers.

Required skills

• Jenkins or Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
• Docker, Ansible and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
• ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging.
• Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic for metrics and monitoring.
• Zipkin or Jaeger for distributed tracing.
• WireMock or Hoverfly for service stubbing.
• Git version control.
