Data Science Developer

About the role

This mid‑level Data Science Developer position focuses on the Retail business. You will design, develop, and improve scalable data‑science solutions and analytical products that deliver tangible business value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and enhance data architectures that support advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.
• Build, optimise, and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple sources.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain machine‑learning models and analytical solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Investigate new data sources, technologies, and approaches to unlock commercial opportunities.
• Drive innovation through prototyping new data‑driven products and features.
• Translate business problems into technical solutions and support existing predictive models and decision‑support tools.
• Contribute to best practices in code quality, documentation, and deployment processes.
• Share knowledge via peer coaching, technical discussions, and presentations.

Required profile

• BSc Honours or MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, analytics engineering, or machine‑learning engineering.
• Proven track record delivering production‑grade data solutions and machine‑learning projects.

Required skills

• Very high proficiency in SQL.
• Strong expertise in Python.
• Experience with Power BI for visualisation.
• Solid background in data architecture and data‑pipeline design.
• Knowledge of machine‑learning model development and deployment.
