Data Analyst – Power BI Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to design, build, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions that empower data‑driven decision‑making across the Africa & Middle East region. You will work closely with data engineers, product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to turn requirements into production‑ready BI assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Create reusable dimensional data models (star and snowflake schemas) and implement Row‑Level Security.
• Prepare, transform, and validate data in Databricks using SQL or Python.
• Validate BI outputs against business sources of truth and support UAT.
• Optimize query performance, model efficiency, and report refresh cycles.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data integration, quality, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver actionable, user‑friendly insights.
• Stay current with emerging BI tools and share best practices within the team.

Required profile

• Graduate degree or formal qualification in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of experience building Power BI solutions in a business environment.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability, and ownership mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
