Credit Controller – Debtors (Finance)

About the role

Austell Pharmaceuticals is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to manage its debtor portfolio within the Finance Department. The role focuses on debt collection, payment processing, and maintaining accurate debtor records while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Implement collection strategies, contact debtors, resolve disputes, and initiate legal or insurance actions when needed.
• Receive, process, and reconcile payments; work with debtors to correct discrepancies.
• Maintain up‑to‑date debtor ledgers, allocate payments, perform reconciliations, and produce aging and collection reports.
• Provide responsive service to internal teams and external debtors, attend meetings, and address queries promptly.
• Prepare required compliance reports, manage debt‑insurance documentation, and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of proven experience in debt collection and payment processing.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.
• Valid driver’s licence (travel to client sites may be required) and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
