Construction Worker

About the role

The municipality is seeking a full‑time Construction Worker to join its on‑site team in Sutherland. You will support the building, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure such as buildings, pavements, and basic facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Mix, place, and finish concrete under supervision.
• Assist with masonry tasks, including bricklaying and block work.
• Install or repair flooring on concrete, tile, or similar surfaces.
• Carry out renovation and refurbishment work on existing structures.
• Load and unload materials, follow construction plans, and adhere to safety procedures.

Required profile

• Practical experience in general construction site work.
• Ability to read basic drawings or measurements.
• Commitment to occupational health and safety and use of PPE.
• Physical capability to perform manual labour outdoors in varying conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a diverse team.
