Cloud Engineer (Azure & Data Platform)

About the role

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, provision, and manage Azure‑based data platforms. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud resources while supporting hybrid on‑premise to cloud integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, storage accounts, networking components, and integration runtimes.
• Monitor infrastructure health (compute, storage, networking, access) and respond to alerts using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Maintain platform availability, performance, and security, including patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance.
• Manage identity and access controls (RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault integration).
• Ensure compliance with security, encryption, and audit requirements.
• Support hybrid connectivity between on‑premise systems and Azure where required.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on incident response and escalation.
• Document platform assumptions, logic, and version‑control processes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures, and SSIS.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and resource management.
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Solid understanding of version control using Git.
