Civil Technologist

About the role

The Civil Technologist will join the Water Infrastructure division, reporting to the Section Manager. The role involves delivering high‑quality technical services across multiple projects, supporting finance and senior staff, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve design solutions, draft technical reports and present findings.
• Supervise a small team of engineers/technologists and manage sub‑consultants.
• Provide quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle and handle works authorisations, variation orders, and contractor claim assessments.
• Communicate with clients on general matters, maintain relationships, and support business development activities.
• Assist with financial planning, forecasting, revenue recognition and budgeting for projects.
• Mentor graduates, allocate work, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Prepare and submit EOIs, RFQs, tenders and proposals for large infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 6 years, ideally 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Relevant professional registration.
• Strong report‑writing ability and professional presentation.
• Good knowledge of the local market and business‑oriented demeanor.
