Candidate Legal Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a Candidate Legal Practitioner to join our Cape Town office on a full‑time basis. You will gain hands‑on experience by drafting legal documents, attending consultations, and, where possible, appearing in court. Senior lawyers will supervise your work, ensuring you develop the ability to manage matters from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, letters, and other legal documents with precision.
• Attending client consultations and supporting senior counsel.
• Managing portions of files independently while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Handling collections and insolvency matters in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensuring all work meets the firm’s quality standards.

Required profile

• LLB degree completed or near completion.
• Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail.
• Genuine interest in litigation, not just a vague openness.
• Self‑motivated and able to follow through without constant supervision.
