Candidate Attorney – Litigation & Legal Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Candidate Attorney to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will support senior attorneys in a variety of legal matters while gaining hands‑on experience in South African law. The position starts immediately, offering the chance to develop core litigation skills in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with litigation and general legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
• Attend client consultations and liaise with clients, counsel, courts, and government departments.
• Support court appearances and manage administrative legal processes.
• Maintain files and ensure compliance with firm procedures.

Required profile

• Completed LLB degree.
• Fluent written and verbal Afrikaans and English.
• Valid driver’s licence; own reliable transport is advantageous.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
