Camunda Developer – Workflow Automation Engineer

About the role

The Camunda Developer will own the design, development, and optimisation of human‑centric workflow solutions using the Camunda Platform and BPMN standards. You will integrate complex processes into hybrid environments, driving operational excellence and innovation across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and workflow automation solutions on Camunda Platform.
• Implement and optimise business process models to ensure accurate, efficient human‑centric workflows.
• Develop scalable backend components using Java and Spring Framework.
• Configure and manage containerised deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate workflows with existing systems.
• Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to workflow execution and system integration.
• Document technical designs, configurations, and processes for compliance and maintainability.
• Provide advisory support to engineering leads and domain architects, and contribute to technical roadmaps.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing and implementing workflow solutions using Camunda and BPMN.
• Proficiency in Java development and the Spring Framework.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Commitment to continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the organisation.
