Business Banker

About the role

The Business Banker will operate from a business centre, delivering sales and service to a portfolio of business clients. The role focuses on retaining and growing this portfolio by offering tailored banking solutions that add value to small and medium enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Provide business‑centre based Business Banking sales and service.
• Retain and grow a portfolio of business clients through value‑adding financial product solutions.
• Identify, prepare and motivate credit applications for business customers.
• Manage cost control and sales targets.
• Interpret financial statements, balance sheets and basic financial ratios to assess client needs.
• Ensure compliance with relevant banking regulations and product documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of banking experience, preferably in Business Banking.
• Experience managing a portfolio of business customers with a focus on service and financial analysis.
• Diploma in Commerce or Finance; FAIS accreditation as a Key Individual is preferred.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and public holidays.
