Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor

About the role

Join Sanlam Developing Markets as a Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor and help clients in the Sammy Marks area secure affordable financial solutions. You will deliver sound advice, promote a range of insurance and savings products, and contribute to the growth of the branch’s market share.

Key responsibilities

• Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share through cross‑selling and client optimisation.
• Provide comprehensive financial advice and high‑level client service within the branch.
• Validate client details, submit new business, and conduct due diligence to meet regulatory requirements.
• Manage client portfolios, send payment reminders, follow up on queries, and ensure policy cancellations are handled correctly.
• Monitor and act on NTUs (Not Taken Up) and persistency metrics, applying corrective actions as needed.
• Identify client risk profiles and propose alternative payment arrangements where appropriate.
• Stay updated on product changes and communicate these to clients.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a deep understanding of SRM product ranges.
• Ability to assess customer needs, financial goals, and recommend suitable products.
• Excellent client‑service mindset, capable of managing appointments and walk‑in customers efficiently.
• Attention to compliance, risk identification, and accurate documentation.
