About the role
The Cape Town EDITION Hotel is seeking a proactive Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to lead the team during its pre‑opening phase. You will ensure seamless service delivery, uphold brand standards, and create a welcoming environment for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the bar and restaurant, ensuring optimal service and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures, including setup of supplies, equipment cleaning, and securing the premises.
- Monitor storage areas for organization, FIFO compliance, and cleanliness.
- Perform inventory counts, manage stock levels, and requisition supplies as needed.
- Oversee dining room seating, safety, and overall guest experience.
- Generate work orders for maintenance and ensure timely repairs.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and employee coaching.
- Enforce grooming standards, uniform appearance, and adherence to safety and security policies.
Required profile
- Proven experience supervising bar and restaurant operations, preferably in a pre‑opening or launch environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and guest service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
