Assistant Lodge Manager – Zululand

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Lodge Manager to join a prestigious luxury wilderness lodge in Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal. The role offers a unique opportunity to work in a remote, high-end environment, supporting daily operations and delivering world-class guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lodge Manager in overseeing all aspects of lodge operations.
• Maintain exceptional service standards for guests throughout their stay.
• Supervise and mentor staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities.
• Utilise the property management system (Nightsbridge) to manage bookings and guest information.
• Coordinate logistics, including transportation and on-site facilities, using a valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and luxury hospitality standards in a remote setting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years in a senior supervisory or management role within a 4- or 5-star luxury lodge.
• Valid South African Code B driver’s licence.
• Strong hospitality background with a passion for luxury service.
• Professional presentation and ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
• Fluent English; Zulu language skills are an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with property management systems, preferably Nightsbridge.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from R15 000 to R18 000 per month, dependent on experience.
• Fully live-in position with private on-site accommodation.
• Meals provided while on duty and a full uniform laundered by the lodge.
• One week off per month with flexible stay options and 15 days annual leave.
• Start date in June 2026.
