Area Manager – Commercial Food Service Equipment Sales (KZN, EC)

About the role

Join a leading culinary equipment company as an Area Sales Manager responsible for driving sales of commercial food service equipment across KwaZulu‑Natal and the Eastern Cape. You will work with award‑winning restaurants, hotels and other hospitality businesses to provide tailored equipment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build the territory by hunting for new clients and leveraging existing relationships.
• Use product knowledge to educate prospects and generate interest.
• Conduct consultative selling, provide product recommendations and present samples, flyers or catalogs.
• Quote prices, convey credit terms, and prepare sales contracts.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Travel for company functions, sales meetings, conferences and training sessions.
• Submit forecasting, sales and expense reports as required.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of sales experience with a proven record of success.
• Background in foodservice distribution, restaurant management, or sales of restaurant equipment/supplies is a plus.
• Strong business ethics and professional demeanor.
• Goal‑oriented self‑starter able to work independently or within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
