Accountant – Full‑function Accounting Role

About the role

We are a well‑established company on the East Rand looking for a dedicated Accountant to manage our full‑function accounting processes. The role involves handling both receivable and payable cycles, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting monthly financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full debtors (accounts receivable) function, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations.
• Oversee the full creditors (accounts payable) function, processing invoices and making payments.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform month‑end reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support audits and perform ad‑hoc finance duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of experience in a full‑function accounting role.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Sage 50c (non‑negotiable).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
