Patient Intake Specialist – Remote (EST Hours)

About the role

The Patient Intake Specialist is the warm, empathetic first voice that prospective patients encounter for a leading US mental‑health clinic. Working remotely on EST business hours, you will help connect individuals in distress with life‑changing treatments such as ketamine infusion and Spravato.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls, texts, and messages from prospective patients.
• Conduct empathetic intake conversations lasting 6‑11 minutes, gathering clinical information.
• Schedule consultations with appropriate clinicians and ensure accurate data entry.
• Provide support to callers experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation or crisis, following established protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and active‑listening skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with distressed callers.
• Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps) and uninterrupted power backup.
• Willingness to work EST business hours (00:00‑09:00 SAST) including South African and U.S. public holidays.
