Logistic Coordinator

About the role

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is looking for a driven Logistic Coordinator to join their Brokerage Division in Pretoria. You will act as the commercial and operational link between mining clients and approved transporters, ensuring bulk commodity loads are moved efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, process and confirm load requests and client rates within agreed turnaround times.
• Issue load instructions, monitor active loads and provide regular updates to clients.
• Resolve delays, breakdowns and incidents promptly.
• Allocate loads to approved transporters and negotiate rates within approved structures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with transporters, reporting performance or compliance issues.
• Assist with onboarding new transporters and required documentation.
• Achieve monthly load and revenue targets while protecting company margins.

Required profile

• Relevant Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Economics or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in transport, logistics, freight or supply chain, preferably in road freight brokering or bulk commodity transport.
• Valid South African driver’s licence and vehicle.
• Willingness to travel and be available after‑hours when required.

• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and load‑management systems.
• Attention to detail and high administrative accuracy.
• Knowledge of South African road‑transport operations and commodity corridors.
