Head of Finance (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic Head of Finance to lead financial control and profit optimization for a fast‑growing, 60‑person organization with $15M annual revenue. This remote position reports directly to the CEO and will own the full accounting cycle while driving efficiency and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and streamline the monthly close process to deliver accurate financial statements on time.
• Manage a Bookkeeper and oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, and payroll.
• Maintain legacy reporting in Salesforce, ensure data accuracy, and support system migration.
• Control company spend via Ramp, enforce policy compliance, and identify expenditure trends.
• Analyze P&L for cost‑saving opportunities and challenge assumptions across teams.
• Optimize pricing models and recommend adjustments to improve revenue.
• Partner with the CEO to build robust budgeting and forecasting models in Google Sheets.

Required profile

• Hands‑on leader comfortable managing a Bookkeeper and diving into complex spreadsheets.
• ROI‑focused mindset that treats finance as a profit driver, not a cost center.
• Clear communicator with strong research orientation to investigate variances and propose solutions.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling.
• Expert‑level Google Sheets (complex formulas, data visualization, dynamic reporting).
• Experience integrating and reporting data from Salesforce.
• Detail‑oriented with a proven ability to spot discrepancies.
