Graduate Programme – Cybersecurity, IT GRC & Audit

About the role

Rand Water is offering a Graduate Programme focused on Cybersecurity, IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and IT Audit. The successful graduate will be introduced to the organisation’s IT environment and will receive structured training to build both technical and professional competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT security team in monitoring and responding to security incidents.
• Support the development and maintenance of GRC frameworks and documentation.
• Participate in IT audit activities, including data collection and preliminary analysis.
• Collaborate with senior staff on projects that enhance the organisation’s information security posture.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree or honours in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in security, risk management and audit processes.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
• Familiarity with IT governance, risk and compliance principles.
• Awareness of audit procedures and documentation.
