General Worker Packer

About the role

We are looking for a General Worker Packer to support the Promix department, ensuring all operations meet safety standards and production requirements. The role involves handling product packaging, maintaining quality, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Packing products accurately into containers or packaging materials according to specifications.
• Inspecting products and packaging for quality and integrity.
• Keeping the workspace clean, organized, and performing assigned sanitation duties.
• Collaborating with team members to achieve production targets and deadlines.
• Following supervisors’ instructions and guidelines.
• Assisting maintenance staff with troubleshooting as needed.
• Checking bottom and end seals for quality compliance.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• 1 year experience in the milling industry.
• 6 months to 1 year experience as a packer.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
• Good physical fitness and the capacity to stand for long periods.
• Strong focus, concentration and accountability.
