Finance Accountant – US GAAP (Remote)

About the role

MAVI is looking for an experienced Finance Accountant to own month‑end close and financial reporting for US‑based clients. You will be embedded in lean US finance teams, collaborating directly with controllers, supply‑chain leaders and founders to drive operational value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full month‑end close under US GAAP, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Own cost accounting, BOM analysis and variance tracking.
• Maintain inventory accounting accuracy and support COGS reconciliation.
• Prepare financial statements and operational cost reports for US stakeholders.
• Track and analyse production costs, overhead allocations and margin movements.
• Support year‑end audit and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with US supply‑chain, operations and finance leaders.
• Drive process improvements in manufacturing and cost‑accounting workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience with US GAAP or IFRS.
• Background in CPG, manufacturing or supply‑chain‑intensive industries.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation and COGS treatment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or QuickBooks.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work with US time‑zone overlap.
