Construction Site Agent

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead on‑site construction activities in Pretoria. The role involves supervising staff, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on‑site construction work across warehousing, shopping centres, office blocks and high‑rise buildings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations and timelines.
• Implement and monitor quality‑control measures and site safety procedures in line with the OHS Act.
• Control site costs, minimise material waste and manage budget adherence.
• Conduct regular subcontractor meetings to coordinate progress and resolve issues.
• Maintain JBCC contractual knowledge and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in construction site management.
• Post‑Matric industry qualifications or NQF‑related building/construction training (advantageous).
• SACPCMP registration preferred.
• Proven ability to supervise large site teams and multiple subcontractors.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• General knowledge of JBCC contract standards.
