Business Development Graduate

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Graduate to join our commercial team in the airline industry. The role offers rotational exposure across catering, ancillary revenue, partnerships, distribution and GDS support, providing a solid foundation in airline commercial operations. You will work closely with senior staff to support the planning, execution and analysis of commercial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute commercial projects across multiple business areas.
• Monitor performance of catering products and ancillary revenue streams, identifying trends and operational challenges.
• Support implementation and post‑implementation review of promotions and ancillary products.
• Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform commercial decisions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, checklists and operational controls.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly commercial reports, dashboards and presentations.
• Collect, analyse and validate operational data to spot variances and improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and service providers to resolve queries and ensure service continuity.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reporting visibility and customer experience.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree (e.g., BCom, Business Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics).
• Strong interest in commercial aviation, customer experience and operational execution.
• Analytical mindset with basic understanding of reporting principles and data analysis concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and ability to stay composed in a fast‑moving environment.
• Personal attributes: high integrity, curiosity, proactivity, independence and confidence.
