Audit Quality Reviewer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Quality Reviewer to support our remote team in delivering engagement quality reviews and monitoring file reviews for audit firms. The role involves evaluating audit documentation, identifying findings, and preparing clear review comments under the guidance of a Registered Auditor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting Engagement Quality Reviews (EQRs) and monitoring file reviews.
• Evaluate audit workpapers and documentation for compliance with professional standards.
• Identify potential issues and draft practical, constructive review comments.
• Communicate findings to the audit firm and support further consideration where required.
• Collaborate with the Registered Auditor who retains final sign‑off responsibility.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., SAIPA, ACCA, AGA(SA) or similar).
• Practical external audit experience.
• Knowledge of audit methodology, documentation requirements, financial statements and standards such as ISQM 1, ISQM 2, ISA 220, ISAs and IRBA requirements.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high‑quality output.

Required skills

• Proficiency with audit software such as CaseWare or Draftworx.
• Advanced Excel skills.
