Art Director / Graphic Designer – Retail Fashion

About the role

Our client, a leading retail fashion brand, is looking for an experienced Art Director/Graphic Designer to lead the visual direction of digital marketing and in‑store campaigns. Based in Cape Town, you will shape the brand’s visual identity across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, design and direct creative execution of digital marketing campaigns for web, social and in‑store environments.
• Provide art direction for photo and video shoots, guiding photographers, videographers and content creators.
• Design social media assets, newsletters, and in‑store collateral while maintaining brand consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure visual assets align with business objectives.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of graphic design experience with proven art‑direction responsibilities.
• Strong portfolio showcasing fashion or retail campaigns.
• Passion for fashion and creative arts.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Working knowledge of Canva for rapid content creation.
