Overseer Miner

About the role

The Overseer Miner will lead daily underground mining activities at the Mogalakwena North Concentrator in Mokopane, ensuring safe and efficient production of hard‑rock ore. This position reports directly to mine management and coordinates a team of operators in a high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Mark, drill, charge and blast decline faces and boards on a daily basis.
• Evaluate operational performance to maintain Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
• Optimize production through effective resource allocation, team motivation and personnel development.
• Monitor and report underground operations, including safety of personnel and equipment.

Required profile

• Mandatory NEC Certificate (attach to application).
• Full blasting licence for underground operations.
• Five O’ Level subjects and valid Mining First Aid certification.
• Recognised degree or diploma in Mining Engineering (advantageous).
• Minimum 2 years experience in hard‑rock, trackless underground mining.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
