Corporate & Commercial Attorney

About the role

This full‑time, hybrid position offers flexible working hours and the chance to work directly with the founder and director of NOMAD. You will support a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, from drafting and negotiating agreements to advising on complex transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and shareholder arrangements.
• Engage with clients, counterparties and internal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate structuring and transactional support.
• Manage multiple matters independently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Contribute to the growth of the practice by taking ownership of assigned work.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Experience in corporate law, commercial transactions and contract negotiation.
• Completed articles in a corporate/commercial practice or at least two years post‑admission experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with renewable energy law or cross‑border/international transactions is a plus.
