About the role
Our client, a leading financial services provider specializing in Healthy Home Insurance, is seeking a dedicated Short‑Term Claims Consultant to join their dynamic team in Pretoria. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end claims process while delivering empathetic service to policyholders.
Key responsibilities
- Process claims from registration through assessment, validation and settlement, ensuring accurate entry into the claims management system and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, gathering documentation, explaining procedures, providing updates and escalating complex cases to the Team Leader.
- Investigate claim validity, review documentation, collaborate with assessors and experts, and identify potential fraud or suspicious activity.
- Coordinate with third‑party service providers such as assessors and repairers to achieve swift resolutions and contribute to internal process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations and Treating Customers Fairly principles, and prepare regular claims reports for the Team Leader.
Required profile
- Matric Certificate and RE5 Regulatory Examination certificate.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in short‑term insurance claims processing, focusing on building and content.
- Strong knowledge of non‑motor short‑term insurance products and claims workflows.
- High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
- Client‑focused attitude with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with specialised claims management systems.
