Foreclosure Attorney

About the role

The firm is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to manage foreclosure matters from inception through finalisation. This role involves high‑court litigation, banking litigation, and ensuring compliance with the National Credit Act.

Key responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle foreclosure files, including drafting summonses, affidavits, default judgments and execution applications.
• Provide expert advice on foreclosure processes, high‑court litigation and banking litigation.
• Liaise with banks, sheriffs, correspondents and clients to facilitate smooth case progression.
• Maintain strong court presence and manage litigation strategy.
• Oversee high‑volume foreclosure portfolios independently while meeting strict deadlines.

Required profile

• Admitted Attorney with post‑admission experience.
• Proven track record handling foreclosure matters and high‑court litigation.
• In‑depth knowledge of the National Credit Act and related foreclosure legislation.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timeframes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with legal management systems.
• Strong administrative, drafting and organisational abilities.
