Finance Clerk – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven Finance Clerk to join our finance team in Rivonia, Sandton. You will play a key role in processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and process supplier invoices and credit notes within agreed timelines.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and verify supporting documentation.
• Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organised supplier records and assist with month‑end accounts payable procedures.
• Monitor aged payables, identify overdue items, and support payment preparation.
• Record approved capital expenditures on the fixed asset register and maintain asset details.
• Assist with fixed‑asset reconciliations, verification exercises, and process disposals or transfers.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls, maintain confidentiality, and escalate unresolved issues.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
• Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or related field (advantageous).
• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, creditors, bookkeeping or finance administration.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable and fixed‑asset accounting principles.
