Commercial Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Attorney to join our legal team in Pretoria East / Centurion. The successful candidate will provide expert advice on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions and ensure that all contractual documentation meets the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements and related legal documents.
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity deals, and deal structuring.
• Support transactional tax considerations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on complex commercial matters.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of commercial law developments and best practices.

Required profile

• LLB degree (mandatory); B.Com Law or Finance degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years post‑article experience in commercial law.
• LLM in corporate and commercial law is a plus.
• Fluent English (verbal and written); Afrikaans proficiency is advantageous.
• Fully computer literate, proficient with MS Word and Excel.
