Strategic Sourcing Consultant – 6 Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation on a six‑month contract. The role focuses on delivering complex sourcing initiatives within a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing processes from requisition through to contract execution.
• Conduct market research, prepare RFPs and evaluate bids.
• Lead commercial negotiations and select suppliers.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with governance, policies and relevant legislation.
• Analyse spend data to uncover cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Support category management initiatives and produce related reporting.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
• Continuously improve sourcing workflows, processes and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field.
• CIPS qualification is advantageous.
• 5–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in strategic or complex sourcing.
