Site Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation)

About the role

The Site Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation) will lead the planning, execution and commissioning of E&I works on industrial, mining and oil & gas projects across South Africa and the wider Sub‑Saharan region. The role is based on‑site with regular travel and follows a rotating schedule of approximately 190 hours per month, typically organised as six‑day work weeks with rest‑and‑recovery cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical and instrumentation construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary site teams, ensuring alignment with project schedules and safety standards.
• Manage HV/MV power distribution systems and process instrumentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor compliance with project safety systems and industrial construction methodologies.
• Report progress, risks and issues to senior project management.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested Electrician or Instrumentation Technician.
• Recognised electrical or instrumentation qualification (Diploma/Degree advantageous).
• SACPCMP registration preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in E&I industrial construction, preferably on mining, oil & gas or heavy‑industrial sites.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in remote environments.
