Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a leading technology environment supporting cloud platforms, containerised workloads and enterprise‑scale CI/CD operations. The role is based in South Africa and will work on large‑scale cloud transformation and platform modernisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and container orchestration solutions.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code workflows.
• Drive DevSecOps automation and best‑practice adoption across hybrid environments.
• Support micro‑services architectures, monitoring, observability and incident management.
• Collaborate with development, operations and platform teams in an Agile setting.
• Contribute to enterprise platform strategy and automation practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience in DevOps, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker and containerised environments.
• Solid background in CI/CD pipelines, IaC and cloud platforms (Azure, Alibaba Cloud, OpenShift, private clouds).
• Experience implementing DevSecOps, security, governance and compliance controls.
• Proven ability to work in Agile teams and communicate across disciplines.
