Project Coordinator – Automotive

About the role

The Project Coordinator will drive the planning, coordination and timely execution of automotive manufacturing projects, ensuring that quality, cost and delivery (QCD) targets are met. The role serves as the main link between the company and both local and international customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate project requirements with customers, covering localisation, new business and value engineering.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, master schedules and control mechanisms for new projects.
• Perform cost calculations, feasibility studies and BOM creation for new parts.
• Lead OBEYA meetings, coordinate cross‑functional teams and monitor milestones to guarantee smooth project launch.
• Set and track QCD targets at each project stage, addressing deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage drawing and design changes, distribute engineering change notices and ensure seamless transitions.
• Support QMS compliance (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and contribute to project close‑out reporting.
• Collaborate with headquarters and subsidiaries to share best practices and support business expansion.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the automotive OEM sector.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills with customers locally and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially intermediate Excel.
• Experience creating Bills of Materials and performing cost calculations.
• Knowledge of QMS standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Project scheduling and milestone tracking.
