Production Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Team Leader to manage daily production activities in a fast‑paced environment. The role focuses on meeting output targets safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while fostering teamwork and operational control.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production tasks such as sorting, baling, loading and dispatch.
• Ensure production and output targets are achieved each shift.
• Lead, motivate and manage production staff, monitoring productivity, attendance and discipline.
• Maintain quality standards and correct material grading.
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily briefings for the team.
• Inspect equipment, report defects and ensure health, safety, housekeeping and environmental standards are upheld.
• Complete shift reports and communicate operational issues to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficient workflow processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, recycling or warehouse environments.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team‑leader experience.
• Strong leadership, people‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work shifts under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Good understanding of production processes and productivity management.
• Health & Safety knowledge is advantageous.
