Product and Manufacturing Engineering Executive

About the role

The organisation is a leading international manufacturer seeking a senior engineering leader to drive product and manufacturing excellence in a high‑volume environment. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape engineering strategy, optimise production processes and ensure world‑class standards across product development, manufacturing support, maintenance and toolroom operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function to maintain accurate product master data and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Implement best practices for machining and assembly, driving innovation to increase throughput and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with quality, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams to optimise overall production performance.
• Manage configuration management and ERP master data, including BOMs and routings.
• Oversee maintenance and toolroom departments, establishing preventative maintenance strategies.
• Develop CAPEX proposals to expand capacity and improve efficiency.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing engineering teams while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering (non‑negotiable).
• 10–15 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven experience in high‑volume machining or assembly environments.
• Strong project‑management background.
• SA citizenship, clear criminal record, and GCC certification preferred.
