Packaging Attendant

About the role

Join PepsiCo’s bakery production team as a Packaging Attendant. You will be responsible for ensuring that bread products are packed efficiently, meet quality standards, and are ready for distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a continuous production line.
• Pack loaves at the required rate – ten per crate for standard loaves, eight per crate for premium varieties.
• Continuously inspect bread quality, removing any damaged loaves.
• Verify that all loaves are correctly dated and visually appealing within their packaging.
• Perform visual inspections for product quantity and quality.
• Report any equipment issues promptly to supervisors or managers.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and protect company assets.

Required profile

• Matriculation certificate (Matric) is essential.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly responsible, reliable and able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Team‑oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Previous experience in bakery production or a similar role is preferred.
