Legal Counsel (Legal Manager) – Johannesburg

About the role

Concentrix is seeking a commercially driven Legal Counsel to join its UK Region Legal team, supporting operations across the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Ghana. Based in Johannesburg, this senior‑level position will act as a trusted adviser, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑stakes client negotiations and manage end‑to‑end drafting of complex commercial and AI‑related agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, variations, terminations and RFP responses across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure alignment with internal approval frameworks, manage interdependencies between Concentrix and client obligations, and proactively mitigate legal and commercial risk.
• Provide strategic legal and commercial contract advice to internal business partners, covering contractual terms, corporate compliance and legal issues.
• Collaborate with senior Legal Department personnel, Sales and Account Managers, and other regional and global stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including corporate governance, labour legislation and data protection (e.g., POPIA).
• Support the development, implementation and maintenance of internal policies, frameworks and governance controls.
• Advise on corporate governance matters such as director duties, fiduciary responsibilities and statutory obligations under the Companies Act.
• Provide legal support on regulatory obligations, maintain corporate records and support board and committee processes.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with substantial experience in commercial contract negotiation and drafting.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, international business environment.
• Strong knowledge of South African corporate law, labour legislation and data protection regulations (POPIA).
• Experience advising senior business leaders on legal risk and commercial strategy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
