General Worker – Catering

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic General Worker to join our catering team. In this role you will contribute to the smooth operation of daily food service and special events, working in a company that truly believes in its purpose and fosters a supportive, inclusive culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, portioning and presentation of a variety of food items, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment by regularly sanitising surfaces, equipment and utensils in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the set‑up, service and breakdown of catering events, including arranging tables, buffet stations and beverage stations as required.
• Monitor stock levels of consumables, replenish supplies, and responsibly manage waste and recycling procedures.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to internal staff and external guests, addressing basic enquiries and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team.
• Ability to follow strict health, safety and food hygiene guidelines.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings or weekends as operational needs dictate.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food handling, hygiene practices and safe equipment use.
