Driver – Cash in Transit (CIT) Operations

About the role

The driver will act as the custodian of IZI vehicles and assets, performing Cash in Transit (CIT) services on a dedicated schedule while adhering to all company policies, security standards, and traffic regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and sign for the vehicle and equipment before departure, ensuring mechanical roadworthiness and completing the daily driver checklist.
• Drive responsibly, complying with the Road Traffic Act and IZI health and safety standards.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle immobilisation immediately to the Control Room and relevant authorities.
• Maintain control of scheduled trips, including radio communication of route details, crew members, mileage, and expected return times.
• Ensure all operational equipment (customer keys, replacement bags, radios, scanners) is functional before each trip.
• Escalate any vehicle defects or security concerns to management for timely resolution.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Strong attention to security procedures and ability to handle cash securely.
• Willingness to remain in the vehicle until authorized personnel arrive after an incident.
• Capability to follow detailed checklists and report accurately.
