Director of Academic Excellence – Remote

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its Director of Academic Excellence. This remote senior position will shape and operationalize the company’s evidence‑based learning model, which enables students to achieve double‑speed learning within a two‑hour daily window. The role combines strategic academic design with hands‑on execution across a global network of partner schools.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that translate learning‑science research into concrete curriculum, motivation, and application guidelines.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and high performance across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles and prescribe targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback loops, and milestone management focused on learning outcomes.
• Act as the primary external spokesperson, delivering keynotes and engaging ministries of education to champion systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic leadership, EdTech, or comparable roles.
• Proven track record of implementing measurable learning‑science initiatives at scale.
• Strong public‑speaking ability and credibility as an authority in evidence‑based education.
