Travel Consultant – Inbound Tours

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Inbound Travel Consultant to join a leading travel company in Cape Town. The role focuses on handling inbound FIT and group travel enquiries for Southern African destinations and building strong relationships with overseas tour operators.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound FIT and group travel enquiries and design tailor‑made itineraries.
• Quote and manage bookings from quotation through to completion.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best value and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Maintain and grow relationships with international tour operators and local suppliers.
• Participate in after‑hours duty phone rotation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of inbound tour consulting experience.
• Proven experience working with overseas tour operators.
• Strong knowledge of Southern African travel products and destinations.
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
