Technician – Maintenance & Technical Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technician to support and improve our maintenance systems and technical processes. The role focuses on enhancing productivity and ensuring the efficiency of our technical infrastructure across Pepkor Lifestyle stores.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on IT hardware components.
• Install, configure and update software applications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, both hardware and software.
• Support networking systems and assist with related installations where required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operation of technical assets.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Matriculation certificate.
• COMPTIA A certification (Essentials and Core).
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage stress and resolve conflicts.
• Customer‑centric attitude and integrity.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of IT hardware components and repair.
• Experience with software installations.
• Understanding of networking systems (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
