About the role
Sanlam Private Wealth is seeking a qualified Tax Practitioner to deliver tax compliance services for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, estates and corporate portfolios. The role supports the Portfolio Management team by ensuring accurate tax filings and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, compute and submit provisional and annual tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates and companies.
- Arrange provisional and assessed tax payments and obtain tax clearances.
- Lodge objections, correspond with clients and SARS, and resolve queries within statutory timeframes.
- Maintain up‑to‑date client tax records and file supporting documentation.
- Recover fees for tax work, contribute to internal and client communications, and help grow the tax book.
Required profile
- Post‑graduate qualification and registration as a tax practitioner in good standing.
- Minimum five years of independent tax compliance experience.
- Strong client focus, collaborative mindset and resilience under pressure.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with the SARS NITS system and income tax software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical abilities and solid knowledge of tax law principles.
