Tax and Compliance Accountant/Analyst

About the role

The Tax and Compliance Accountant/Analyst will join the BMU Finance and Accounting team at KFC (Pty) Ltd. In this position you will help ensure that the company meets all tax and financial regulatory requirements while supporting overall financial health and stability. You will act as a key liaison between the finance function and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate submission of all statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with South African tax legislation and YUM! corporate tax policies.
• Prepare and review tax filings, returns and related documentation.
• Collaborate with internal finance colleagues and external auditors to guarantee accurate financial reporting.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the business.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities with a focus on tax provisions.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory for business units.
• Maintain tax documentation and records.
• Provide training to finance staff on tax compliance matters.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work closely with finance teams and external auditors.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
